Who you will talk to.

Where it started.

  1. Design studio, 2023

FutureForge started as a design studio: identities, websites, the visual side of small businesses.

  2. Web applications

The web work grew into web applications, and the applications kept needing the same thing underneath: data moved from one place to another without a person doing it.

  3. Automation-first, and our own products

Most of what we build now is the part of a business nobody sees. Along the way we built tools for ourselves and kept them: that is the products half of the studio.

What we run ourselves.

  • Mail

Self-hosted mail stack on our own domain; the contact form and newsletter send through it.

  • Analytics

Self-hosted Umami. Cookieless, so this site has no consent banner.

  • Backends

ForgeBase, our own Postgres platform, runs the databases behind our internal tools.

  • Servers

Docker Compose behind Caddy with automatic HTTPS, tested backups and monitoring. Kaname is the control plane we are building for exactly this.

How a project runs.

Map

Before anything is built, we sit with the people doing the work and write the process down as it actually runs: the copy-paste, the tab they check, the exception handled by hand on Fridays. That map is the scope. You sign it off before we quote.

Build

A working version early, in your repository, not a demo on ours. The boring parts are done first: logs, tests, a deploy that repeats. You see progress weekly, and the estimate moves only when the scope does.

Automate

New systems run alongside the manual process until the people who own it trust it. Failures alert someone; nothing fails silently. When it has earned it, the manual step is retired.

Scale

Handover is documentation, a recorded walkthrough and monitoring that reaches a phone. Then a ranked list of what is worth automating next, so the second project starts with numbers.

Work with a team that runs what it builds.
